VAC bans and game bans
What they are and how offers must show them.
- VAC ban: given by Valve's anti-cheat system. A VAC-banned account can't play on secure servers for that game.
- Game ban: given by the game developer, for example for cheating or griefing.
- Trade or community bans: limit trading or community features.
Sellers must state any ban in the offer. If you receive an account with a ban that wasn't mentioned, open a dispute.
Bans caused by the buyer after delivery, for example for cheating, aren't covered by the warranty.
